Prayer Intercession opportunity
Twice a year for the past 15+ years, Sanctuary: A Light in the Darkness, a non-profit ministry to survivors of occult ritual abuse, has been hosting a safehouse event over Halloween and Easter weekend. The safehouse event provides survivors with a safe place to be on nights when historically they have been forced and/or felt compelled by spiritual forces and extreme fear to attend/participate in occult rituals, often within Lancaster and surrounding counties.
At the safehouse event, intercessors spend the night (7pm to 7am) engaging in spiritual warfare and interceding on behalf of these survivors while trained safehouse staff interact with the survivors, helping them work through nightmares of their abuse, reminding them that they don’t need to attend the rituals and reassuring them of their safety. Throughout the night, a mixture of live worship bands and recorded worship music is played since praise is powerful weapon of spiritual warfare too.
Due to the severity of their past abuse, most of the survivors that attend safehouse events suffer from post traumatic stress disorder and many have also developed dissociative identity disorder (formerly known as multiple personality disorder). Since at times, survivors may exhibit behaviors common to these disorders but quite confusing to someone who has never encountered dissociation before, all on-site staff and intercessors are required to attend an orientation meeting before participating on-site for the first time.
Email SanctuaryPA@ gmail.com for details. Intercessors are welcome to pray for the safehouse event from any location without attending the safehouse orientation.
